- Meet with Leadership Teams to understand what is needed out of a project
- Test graphics across various media.
- Responsible for quality projects being developed on time and within budget. Ensure scope changes are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.
- Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
- Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
- Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
- Perform related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong project management and organization skills, a keen eye for aesthetics with meticulous attention to detail.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Solid knowledge of design and visual principles.
- Mastery of design software and technologies (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).
- Proficiency with full Microsoft Office suite, and willingness / ability to learn and effectively utilize proprietary software systems.
- Ability to self-direct and work independently, while maintaining productive team relationships with colleagues both inside and outside the organization.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage expectations and the scope and scale of projects.
- Attention to detail composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Two or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
- Strong communication skills.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high-level and consistent work ethic in all work-related duties.
